WetCompressor

A FET compressor modelled on the full circuit of a 1960s rack limiter, transformers and all. It grabs fast and adds its own grit the harder it works.

What it has

  • 3 time constants (Fast, Normal, Slow)
  • Stepped INPUT and OUTPUT, 21 positions each, fixed threshold and ratio
  • Real-time input, gain reduction and output LED metering
  • Resizable panel: right-click for 75%, 100% or 125%

Installation

Windows
Copy WetCompressor.vst3 to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
macOS
Copy WetCompressor.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/, and WetCompressor.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ for Logic and GarageBand. Both are signed and notarised by Apple.
Linux
Copy WetCompressor.vst3 to ~/.vst3/

Then restart your DAW and rescan for plug-ins.
